Discover the surrounding area

On the left: The wild river Rhone between “Susten” and “Salgesch”. On the far right behind the old corked tree there is the biggest pine wood in Europe called “Pfynwald” which is a big nature reserve.
In the background: “Leuk”, the historical bishop town.

To the right: As far as one can see: nothing but vineyards. In the region between “Leuk” and “Sierre” you will mainly find Pinot Noir for red wine and Chasselas (in the Valais called “Fendant”) for white wine.
You shouldn’t miss the opportunity to taste the regional wine in one of the rustic wine cellars

In the background: the wine village VAREN with its church, built on rocks high above river  Rhone.
